If you search your favorite search engine, you'll doubtless find lots of links to Online Meditation Music. Some of them will doubtless turn out to be red herrings - computers are nowhere near as clever as they think they are when it comes to finding things. But in amongst the dross, you'll likely find some excellent online meditation music.

Quite a lot of this will be available as free samples. The authors want you to buy their music and the best way of doing this is to give you a free sample in much the same way as you'll often be offered free food samples at your local supermarket.

The meditation music sample will likely be limited in length or of a reduced quality. It's quite common for a sample to be about the same quality as an AM music station (if you haven't got one of those locally, think audio recorded onto a cheap cassette tape). The incentive is that you'll get the full CD quality version when you buy the complete track. This can be a very good way to sample the variety of meditation music that's available for download.

If you resort to illegal download sites, be careful. In fact, since meditation is all about calmness and karma, be especially careful. The bad karma associated with downloading someone else's work without compensating them for the effort they've put in may even outweigh the risk of downloading viruses and spyware that is often associated with unofficial downloads.
